:: Dispatch from the middle of nowhere ::

I've spent the last two and a half weeks holed up in a small conference center in Laguna. It’s an away-from-the-world type of place, a cool and airy complex of one-storey buildings surrounded by trees and nestled at the back of a hill just off the highway between Calamba and Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The only drawback of this place is that it’s connected to the civilized world by a single phone line. One phone line. Shared by about 25 other participants. Well, most of them have their cell phones so the queue is mainly for dialing up our respective ISPs. Courtesy demands that you limit the time you spend online, and I’ve mostly been just downloading e-mail and reading some news via a RSS client; no posting on the blog.

But I have several posts in various stages of completion I’ll be putting them up, dated as they are, over the weekend.
