:: Snapshot: The Guggenheim-Bilbao ::

On my first trip to Spain, I grabbed the first chance I could to visit a friend in Bilbao, which turned out to be just a bit more than an hour away from Pamplona by bus. He gave me a walking tour of the city, and one of the more pleasant surprises was to walk along the (usually) narrow streets of the city lined with buildings that look like they go back at least a century, and then to see at the end of the street a structure of flowing metal that seemed to rise up from the ground like a mirage: the Guggenheim-Bilbao.
